A More Beautiful YOU!

Are you experiencing wrinkles, sun spots, acne, or scarring? We have the perfect solution for you… it’s called Dermapen! This micro-needling system works to tighten, lift and rejuvenate you skin. It’s effective in diminishing wrinkles, reducing stretch marks, lightening sun spots and decreasing surgical and acne scars, plus so much more. Dermapen uses micro-needles to vertically penetrate the skin in a controlled and precise pattern. Compared to other skin rejuvenation modalities, Dermapen is safe on all skin types, and has only a 24 hour period of downtime. Making it the perfect weekend treat!

How does it work?

Dermapen has 12 teenie tiny needles in the tip of each disposable cartridge. The pen is used to vertically stamp the skin at high speeds. This creates a micro-cut, or injury to the skin stimulating new collagen and elastin production. In doing so, these micro-injuries encourage and harness the body’s innate ability to regrow and repair the skin through normal physiological processes. Unlike the competitor devices, the ultra small tip and needles makes Dermapen the only micro-needling device to ensure an extremely controlled, precise, and safe treatment.

Is there any pain with a Dermapen treatment?

Dr. Carly Rachman will apply a numbing gel to to area about 15-20 minutes prior to treatment. This usually prevents pain and discomfort. Although if working on the face, there are always certain areas of the skin that can be more sensitive than others. In which case, most report only a mild discomfort lasting for a few seconds to a few minutes.

What can be expected immediately after the treatment?

Immediately after your Dermapen treatment you will look as though you have a moderate to severe sunburn, your skin may be tighter than usual. You may also experience mild peeling, itching, blotchiness, and possible scabbing. This is all normal and will subside anywhere from a few hours to a few days. You are to avoid sun exposure for 24 hours after the procedure. You are also unable to apply makeup for 24 hours after the procedure. Dr. Carly Rachman will prescribe post-procedure skincare products and directions.

Pointing you to wellness each and every day!
